ART INTERNATIONALS

This art class offers a welcoming space for internationals experiencing mental health challenges such as loneliness, stress, anxiety, or other related issues.

If you want to explore your creativity while also caring for your mental health and well-being, this class is for you. Through painting and mixed media, we create an atmosphere where you can slow down, express yourself, and find comfort in a supportive creative community. No previous experience is needed – what matters most is curiosity and the wish to connect: with art, with yourself, and with others.

You will work with acrylic, watercolor, and oil paint, as well as drawing, oil pastels, collage, and mixed media. Sessions alternate between guided exercises and free exploration, allowing space for both focused practice and playful experimentation.

We will draw inspiration from a wide range of artists, and the instructor is attentive to participants’ ideas and needs. You’ll receive ongoing feedback, gentle guidance, and demonstrations – but you are always free to follow your own creative path.

About the instructor

Ida Glad holds a Master’s degree (Cand.mag.) in Social Psychology and Learning from Roskilde University, specializing in the use of art and culture in recovery and recreational processes. She has over six years of experience teaching art in an international art studio, leading creative team-building events for various companies, and teaching art at Copenhagen International School.

With an artistic practice spanning 15 years, Ida primarily works with watercolor, ink, and acrylic. Her style moves between the figurative and the abstract, often drawing inspiration from nature, people, and culture. She is inspired by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi – a philosophy that celebrates the beauty of the imperfect and the transient.
